Bid Co-Ordinator

Location: Derby
Salary: £14.79 – £17.00 per hour, depending on experience

Overview

Power & Infrastructure Resourcing are currently recruiting for an experienced Bid Co-Ordinator to support a busy bidding team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing the non-technical aspects of PQQ and tender submissions, ensuring high-quality and compelling proposals are delivered to customers in a professional and timely manner.

This is a fast-paced role requiring someone who is highly organised, self-motivated, able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, and confident working with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

Main Duties

  • Prepare proposals with relevant stakeholders to support profitable order opportunities
  • Build strong relationships with customer representatives and develop an understanding of their requirements
  • Oversee the preparation, coordination and delivery of customer presentations as required
  • Support the development and implementation of bid management processes
  • Provide administrative support throughout the bid and tender process
  • Assist with preparing documentation for customer submissions
  • Respond to customer-generated questions and queries during and after the tender process
  • Liaise with Regional Directors to identify and maximise key client accounts
  • Produce bespoke materials to support business development and account management activities
  • Research and write supporting information for proposals, including case studies, CVs, project best practice and project innovations
  • Manage knowledge-management systems and capture evidence for use in future bids
  • Maintain awareness of proposal best practice and support less experienced colleagues where required
  • Support the delivery of sustainability activities

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in administration and coordination-type roles within construction or engineering
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel – Intermediate level
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage your own workload effectively
  • Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and work to deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
