Rail Resourcer - Scotland
Duties:
- Ensure labour requests are imported to signal daily and assist with full time allocations on a weekly basis.
- Monitor and log changes, escalate to line management when necessary.
- Provide suitable and relevant flash reporting to Senior Management on a weekly basis.
- Population of the company rosters via the Signal platform.
- Act as a point of contact to support other team members with the use and data entered into the signal roster system, sharing best practice, effective solutions and continuous improvements as well as identifying any relevant efficiencies to support the users of the system.
- Manage time off, toil, annual leave requests and changes via the signal system for all blue collar employees and contingent labour availability.
- Attend weekly meetings with projects and supply chain, advise and take actions as required.
- Help with Full time weekly allocations of the teams, reducing non-productive hours at all times.
- Populate the roster to a timescale of 4 weeks in advance plus follow up any outstanding requirements in a timely manner.
- Support and encourage to maintain an open and fair safety culture within the P&I and SPL teams and its contingent teams.
- Assist where required in providing information to relevant departments to support the requirements of the resource team.
- Assist the team as directed to fulfil all duties required to fulfil the role.
- On Call duties, rota between the team to cover on call resourcing requirements.
The person:
- Proven track record of managing resources within the construction or infrastructure sector. Other sectors may be considered.
- Knowledge of construction or rail roles and responsibilities.
- Understanding of the different work requirements of construction and rail projects.
- Computer literacy including various software programmes.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team and support as required.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Full driving licence.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- The ability to stay calm and meet deadlines.
- Ideally hold or have held PTS and rail competencies.
