Power & Infrastructure Resourcing is currently recruiting for an experienced and highly motivated OLE Senior Construction Manager to support the successful delivery of Overhead Line Equipment (OLE) projects across the Scotland.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for an individual with extensive OLE experience, strong operational management skills, and a commitment to delivering projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest industry standards.
The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing construction activities, managing delivery teams, coordinating project resources, and ensuring all works are completed in accordance with programme, quality, and client requirements.
The Role
As the OLE Senior Construction Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and oversight of OLE construction operations across multiple projects.
You will act as the senior point of contact for construction delivery matters and work closely with engineering teams, project managers, client representatives, and site teams to ensure safe and successful project delivery.
This role requires a strong leader who can effectively manage people, resources, safety performance, and operational delivery within a fast-paced rail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and line management to OLE Construction Managers, Supervisors, and OLEC staff
- Oversee OLE construction works to ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to required quality standards
- Act as the senior escalation point for construction delivery issues across all OLE activities
- Coordinate closely with engineering, project management, and client teams
- Carry out regular site visits, inspections, and safety tours to monitor progress and standards
- Ensure all works are completed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project documentation
- Manage workforce planning, allocation, and rostering to meet operational requirements
- Oversee material planning and availability, identifying shortages and escalating where required
- Ensure daily reports, progress updates, and project records are completed accurately and on time
- Coordinate interfaces with contractors and stakeholders to minimise delays and conflicts
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure all competencies, briefings, and safety arrangements are in place
- Support completion of as-built records, surveys, and handover documentation
Candidate Requirements
Essential
- Valid PTS card
- OLEC 5 competency (minimum)
- Previous experience in senior OLE supervisory or management roles
- Strong understanding of railway construction and OLE project delivery
- Experience leading teams and managing operational resources
- Ability to produce and review project and progress reports
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational and planning abilities
- Computer literate with experience using industry software and reporting systems
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required
Desirable
- Previous experience working as an OLE Construction Manager
- Hold or previously held OLEC 3 / OLEC 4 competencies
- Experience delivering major rail infrastructure projects
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder management experience
