Role Overview

As a Nominated Person (NP) in the rail industry, you hold a critical safety role during track possessions and overhead line (OLE) isolations. Your responsibilities include authorising access to worksites, overseeing engineering activities, and ensuring full compliance with safety standards and regulations.

As an NP, you must demonstrate strong technical knowledge and competence, including understanding the risks associated with the overhead line system, interpreting OLE designs, and reading wiring instructions. You must also remain up to date with the latest safety guidelines and industry requirements.

 

Location : Scotland

Duration : Starting January 2026 – Ongoing works (minimum 6 months)
