Access / Possession Planner – Coatbridge, Scotland
Power & Infrastructure Resourcing is currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Access / Possession Planner within the rail infrastructure sector.
This is a key role responsible for the planning, booking, and coordination of possessions and line blocks to support safe and efficient project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, plan, and book all possessions and line blocks required for project delivery
- Produce and maintain possession/line block trackers for review, audit, and improvement
- Ensure full compliance with NR/L2/OHS/019 and relevant PDSW standards
- Use key systems including PPS, Railhub, and Engineering Access Statements
- Ensure all worksites and line blocks are correctly planned and compliant
- Liaise regularly with project teams, SSOW Planners, Responsible Managers, and Network Rail planning departments
- Coordinate with Isolation Planners to ensure 25kV isolation limits are correctly incorporated
- Maintain accurate records of all possession planning activities
- Support internal and external audits and continuous improvement processes
About You:
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar rail planning role
- Strong understanding of railway legislation and possession planning processes
- Proficient IT skills and experience with PPS and Railhub (or similar systems)
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to plan, prioritise, and manage multiple requirements
- Willingness to travel as required
- Team player with a proactive and adaptable approach
